Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated: August 1, 2026
Yluminate makes information from publicly filed Franchise Disclosure Documents queryable, and customers pay us per row of results they export. Some of those rows identify franchise owners by name, email, and phone number. Under California law that is a sale of personal information, and you have the right to stop it.
You do not need an account and there is no charge. This page is for individuals whose details appear in our data — you do not have to be a customer.
1. What you can ask us to do
- Opt out — stop making your personal information available for export by our customers.
- Delete — remove your personal information from the corpus entirely.
- Correct — fix information that is wrong.
- Know — tell you what we hold about you, where it came from, and whether it has been exported.
2. How to make a request
Email support@franreal.com with the subject line “Privacy request” and tell us:
- which of the above you want;
- your full name as it is likely to appear in a franchise filing;
- the franchise brand or brands you are or were associated with, and the city and state of the outlet; and
- an email address or phone number we can match against the record, and one we can reply to.
We ask for these details only to find and verify your record. We will not use them for anything else, and we will not require you to create an account.
3. What happens next
We confirm receipt, verify that the record is yours by matching the details you give us, and act on the request. We respond within 45 days, and may extend once by a further 45 days where the law permits, in which case we will tell you why.
One limit we want to be straight about: if a customer exported your information before your request, we cannot claw back their copy. Our Terms require customers to honour opt-out and deletion requests they receive, and we will tell you whether your record was exported so you can approach them directly. We will pass your request on where we are able to.
Removing you from our corpus also does not remove you from the underlying public filing, which remains a public record held by the franchisor and state regulators.
4. Authorised agents
Someone may make a request on your behalf if they give us written permission signed by you. We may still contact you to confirm.
5. Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of sale for that browser. Because we hold information about people who do not visit this site, a browser signal alone cannot identify your record in the corpus — to opt that out, send the request described above.
6. No retaliation
We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised any of these rights.
